As part of the 6 weeks of Softies on Sew Mama Sew – they are having a contest – A Spectacular Softies Contest!  There are 4 different categories you can enter into: 1) This Is My First Stuffed Animal, Soft Toy or Cloth Doll  2) I Designed it Myself 3) Check Out These Details 4) Overall Cute/Scary/Beautiful/Squeezability Factor.  The prizes are cool with a sewing machine grand prize!

I had recently drawn up a couple stuffies that were ideas I had for my kids’ birthdays. Miss O wants a Mermaid party this year and Mr. V is really into space stuff. For O, I drew up a seahorse friend. I thought it was adorable on paper and was excited to sew it up!

I am not as much in love with it now that’s it’s an actual stuffie – but O loves it!

For V’s stuffie – I drew out a pretty simple rocket. It turned out pretty cute and he loves it!

So I am going to enter them into the contest.  I think I will enter them in categories #2 and #4, but I am not holding my breath about any awards (hehe) – so many amazing sewers out there!
