We have a 2nd time preschooler in the house! Miss O officially started school today. She is in the 4’s class at her preschool and will be going for a half day 3 days a week! About half of her class is the same as last year so its been a pretty easy transition into school – frankly I think she was ready!
A few weeks ago I made her a first day of school dress and recently completed a cute crocheted unicorn to match! I think she was excited to finally be able to wear the dress. When she tried it on after I first made it – she didn’t want to take it off since it was cozy!
It is made from a cozy t-shirt I found at Target and the cutest unicorn fabric. I used THIS tutorial from Make it and Love it – my version turned out a tad different looking since I put the skirt on a little lower (my girl is TALL) and put the sash on top of the pleats in front, but it turned out pretty cute!
I started the toy to help a friend start crocheting amigurumi – and hey since it was a unicorn pattern, I finished it to match her dress – with purple, hot pink and light pink hair. You can find the pattern for the unicorn in this book by Ana Paula Rimoli, one of my favorite amigurumi designers!
I think these two are adorable!
