Post to come soon about Mr. V’s birthday playdate, but first he needed a new birthday outfit right!
I found a fun checkered flag material and decided to use a pants pattern that I bought at the beginning of summer and still hadn’t done anything with yet. I used Peekaboo Patterns – Pier 49 convertible pants pattern – but left off the convertible part (a snap to roll them into capris/shorts).
For his shirt, I used another Peekaboo pattern for a basic ringer t-shirt. I have been wanting to sew with knits but hadn’t gotten the nerve yet – so V’s bday shirt was my first! I used one of my husband’s old t-shirts and dove in – even appliqueing the shirt with a car first!! V2 of course – since he was turning 2!
This boy loves cars so much! Isn’t he absolutely adorable! Okay I know I am biased, I’m the Mom!
All pictures in this post were taken by the fabulous Kristin Harris Photography during our family photo shoot a few weeks ago. If you are in the Seattle area and need a family photographer – she is awesome!
My kiddos in their respective birthday outfits made by Mom! Love them so much!
