This month’s crafty update is more quilts – of course! But these are special – for my awesome nephews!
The first one is a Cat quilt for my nephew’s birthday, he loves cats and writing. I sent it to him for his birthday in May.
I used the Cats in the Window pattern from Missouri Quilt Co. The fabric is Keyboard Cats by Sunny & Clear.
The quilting was done by Trace Creek Quilting, the panto (longarmer speak for quilting pattern) is interlocking rain lines.
The second one is a quilty gift for my oldest nephew’s college graduation. He graduated from the University of Washington
I made the No Point Stars pattern by Cluck Cluck Sew, with a variety of fabrics in purple, gold, and black. The backing is a UW print I found at Joann’s.
The quilting panto is Sprawl, I picked it because it looks kind of like W’s. My parents took the quilt home with them after their May visit and gave it to M at his grad party.
I am having a blast making all of these quilts for the family and working with Trace Creek Quilting doing binding work and running the long-arm quilting machines once a week.
