A friend of mine is having a new little niece soon and she asked me to make her a dress from San Jose Sharks fabric (the daddy’s favorite team).
I used Made by Rae’s Geranium Dress pattern, because its my favorite pattern for baby dresses! It turned out really cute!
I just bought myself a KAM snap plier set, so I used the KAM snaps on this dress. I had trouble with the middle snap and had to take it out a few (ok a lot) of times! I finally got it – and the snaps are so nice. Much faster than buttons (when I know what I am doing) and they are easy to open and close, great for baby clothes!
I am a firm believer that baby dresses need to come with a cute diaper cover – so I made a diaper cover with some shark ruffles on the bum!
As I was working on the dress, It was killing me to think that this cute little dress was going to be given without a toy, so I drew up a quick Shark toy pattern and whipped it up. I even added cellophane in with the stuffing to give it that great crinkly sound. I think it’s an awesome shark!
She even has lashes and a toothy smile!
It turned out to be a very cute little custom set!
I am sure her Daddy will be proud to show her off in her Sharks dress!
