Over the past few months I have been sewing quite a few stuffed animal friends. Stuffed animals are one of my favorite things to make, to see a cute creature come to life with each piece put together in just the right spot is very fun. I love giving them a squeeze to make sure there is just the right about of stuffing to make it cuddly and cute. And adding those little details like eyelids, eyelashes, blush – so fun!!
In late June I made this cute set of piggies for a friend’s daughter’s birthday, blogged about here. She loved them of course!
Next up were a few more cuties from Abby’s book, an awesome Kangaroo with her little joey
and an amazing Camel with jointed legs!! This one turned out so cute – who knew a camel could be sooooo cute!!
Then it was time to sew for my kiddo’s birthdays! Miss O is first so she got a hot pink kitty – pattern also from Stuffed Animals! Here she is all sleepy finding her new kitty in her room the morning of her 4th birthday!
Mr. V couldn’t be left out, so I made him a bright blue puppy for his birthday, pattern also from Abby’s book!
The kids both loved their animals – which makes Mommy feel so good!
Finally with all the gifties done – I was able to crank up the sewing machine and get some cute animals done for the shop!
This menagerie was finished last weekend and is now in the shop ready to find a new home!! Miss O was my photo assistant and we got some pretty cute pictures but these guys are so cute in person and so much fun to cuddle!! Check them out HERE and maybe make one yours!! =)
