Now for the fun! And there was a lot of fun to be had at this party! If you missed the first post with the food and decor, check it out HERE!
On the way into and out of the party space, the kiddos could snap a few pictures at the Hogwart’s Photo Booth!
The kid’s first stop was at Ollivanders to choose (or be chosen by) a wand! We created these wands using this tutorial. They turned out pretty amazing!
The kids showing off their wands and getting ready for Charms Class!
In Charms class they learned how to “levitate” things – and practiced with balloons in the yard.
Next up was a little bit of Quidditch practice! My friend and her husband made these amazing rings and set up this fun Quiddith field.
The kids practiced throwing the “Quaffles” through the rings.
The next class was learning about the Care of Magical Creatures. This was a multi-part activity.
The kids had an activity where they deciphered clues about dragons and their eggs. Miss O had fun with this!
Once the clues were deciphered, the kids went on a hunt for the dragon eggs.
The potions class was by far the coolest (in my opinion). Here was the set up.
The kids mixed their potions very carefully!
And ended with a fun bubbly concoction!
After the games, the kiddos were treated to some ice cream “Butterbeer”,
and sang Happy Birthday to the birthday boy!
The kids then received their Wizarding certificates.
The kids went home with their wands as well as a few yummy treats — Golden snitches and Chocolate Frogs!
Yay for the new Wizards and Witches in Training!
Such a fun fun birthday party! Happy 7th Birthday S!!
