Off the hook! Crochet cuties

March 9, 2021

Just a little update on my crafty endeavors (other than party printables)! The reason I started crocheting was because of crochet cuties aka amigurumi. This book is what originally inspired me to ask my Mom to teach me! I write more about how this book changed my life here!

(ok I just went down an amigurumi rabbit hole on amazon looking up that book – haha! There are so many great amigurumi books out there!)

I have always love these crochet cutie critters! Making them is faster than a big blanket project and they are just so cute!

crochet cuties Flamingos

The flamingos were made from a free pattern by Grace and Yarn. These mini flamingos are about 10″ tall made with worsted weight (4) yarn and a G hook. I have a thing for flamingos right now, probably because they are pink!

crochet cuties Cactus

This cutie cactus is from the aforementioned Amigurumi World book! I used the Mr. Cactus pattern and added the flower from the Mrs. Cactus pattern! We will call her Ms. Cactus!

crochet cuties Sea Otter

Finally to round out the crochet cuties – here is an adorable Sea Otter from this pattern from Shiny Happy World. I had it in my pattern stash and I don’t think its available anymore. Just search sea otter crochet pattern and you are sure to find a ton of them! It turned our pretty large and huggable since I used a chunky fuzzy yarn leftover from THIS project. I have a thing for otters as well – they are just so cute!

My current crochet project are some fun gifties for family and friends. Maybe gifts for Christmas, maybe for Mother’s Day – just depends. I will be sure to share when I can!

Happy Crafting!
