It’s Teacher Appreciation Week! I know our kids have many teachers throughout their lives – but this year my daughter has 2 actual school teachers that have been fabulous! She is in a 3’s preschool class at our local community center – and these ladies are amazing!
After scouring the ideas on Pinterest and the web – I found an idea that would be easy to pull together and allow my daughter to be involved (she is 3 after all). I found this idea and cute (and free) printable – and decided to do a variation.
Since my daughter generally loves to paint and draw – we bought some blank terracotta pots (and some for a Nana project – post to come later) to paint and decorate. We painted the pots and I added some washi tape to the rim and covered the whole pot and washi tape with Mod podge to help seal it in. Miss O colored on a few sheets of paper and I cut out flowers to make the tootsie pop flowers. Inserted some floral foam, added paper “grass” on top and stuck in the lollipop flowers and customized printable flower (get the free printable here for next year!) glued on a painted craft stick.
They turned out pretty cute and her teachers can reuse the pots later if they like. We tried to customize the colors to each teacher!
All Teachers really are amazing – as a Mom I really really appreciate all they do!! Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
