It’s Teacher Appreciation Week! Both of my kiddos have great teachers this year and their schools have a ton of fun stuff planned for the teachers this week! We of course want to contribute so I made up some fun tote bags for the kids’ teachers!
V has 2 teachers in his 2/3 preschool class. I made these cute little orange and brown paisley tote bags last year when I was testing some bag designs. I went with a kind of book theme and made a fun (ok corny) tag for each teacher.
Inside each bag, I put in a little store bought notebook, chocolates and a few more handmade items. These cute washi tape bookmarks…
and a little stack of personalized book plate stickers, that I designed.
I think the whole package is pretty cute!
One for Mrs. B and one for Mrs. D!
Here is V showing off the gifts for his teachers!
For O’s Kindergarten teacher, I made this really cute teacher’s tote. I found the tutorial HERE from Crafty Cupboard on Mabey She Made it. It was a pretty quick sew and it is really cute and a great size for books, notebooks, ipad, whatever!
We found out from her teacher’s favorites list on the PTA website that she likes the color blue, so O picked out the blue fabric from my stash. She insisted on the paisley print!
For Mrs. E, O helped me make the bookmarks. She drew and wrote on strips of cardstock. I then laminated them and added a cute yarn tassle.
O wrote a bunch of sight words on one of the bookmarks and then added her teacher’s name and signed it!
I made Mrs. E bookplate stickers as well – they really turned out cute!
Keep reading and there will be a treat at the end of the post! Here are all the goodies in Mrs. E’s bag!
And O showing off the bag!
And here is that treat!! Your own set of bookplates you can customize for your teacher! Just print them out on sticker paper, write in your teacher’s name and cut out on the black lines. Download with the link below!
