Having a birthday party theme for your kiddo’s birthday isn’t required, but it makes planning so much easier. Here are some party planning tips to help you and your child find the birthday party theme that’s right for them!
Ask your kiddo what theme they would like for their birthday at least a few months before their birthday – my kids know that mom will probably ask about 6 months out. The more time you have the better.
Are they obsessed with dinosaurs or horses? Pay attention to what their current favorites are for that year in their life.
As they get older, they definitely have opinions. If they are younger tip #2 is your best bet.
An outfit, a picture, a toy – something that your kiddo loves that could be turned into a party theme. It really doesn’t have to be a traditional theme – that’s where party printables come in. I love to create invites and decor that is unique and special to the individual kid.
You might find something that would be perfect for the party. A piece of decor, a cute favor for a great price, remember the stores start selling seasonal items months before the season actually starts!
