Hi! Thanks for coming back! Now it’s time to create your own Elf on the shelf family advent! If you missed the details of my family’s Elf on the Shelf family advent adventures check it out here.
Step 1: Write a list of your activities, December 1st through December 24th. Plan out any events that are happening that have a solid date – like the school holiday concert or the community light event – write those down on the correct dates.
Step 2: If you have things you traditionally do every year – like a car ride to look at lights, go to Grandma’s house for cookie baking, etc., schedule them into the list.
Step 3: Add a few events that maybe you have been wanting to do but hadn’t had a chance. Research the details, get those tickets, and schedule them into the list.
Step 4: Fill in the rest of the dates with things you can do at home. Holiday cooking, science, art, storytime, etc. Use the list from our family advent adventure for ideas.
Step 5: Create your notes. Download the free printable with elf notes or create your own. It doesn’t have to be fancy. I used green and red paper to print the notes on.
I have created pdfs of the dated notes and undated notes, with spaces to fill in your elf’s name and other personal details. You can download them from the jeni ro designs Free Printable Library!
Have Fun!! You still have to remember to move the elf every night and put out the note but at least it’s more interesting and you have a plan – right!
Hope you all have an incredible holiday season! There is so much to celebrate and be thankful for this year! Here is my family with Santa after our Supper with Santa night!
If you don’t have your password to the Free Printable library – you can get it HERE by signing up for the Party insider’s list! I promise I only send fun stuff! And the library is full of free printables for the holidays, birthdays, and more!
PS. If you have any questions about the Elf on the Shelf family advent please don’t hesitate to drop me a note – I will be happy to help clarify or offer advice!
