Last month I finished up my quilt gifting (for a little bit) with a couple of red and black gems.
For my niece’s end of May birthday I made a quilt with black, red and white fabric featuring the University of Utah, where they go to college.
I used the Star Pop II pattern from Quilty Love and backed it with a cozy black microfleece blanket.
And quilted it at Trace Creek Quilting with the teeter totter panto.
The 2nd black and red quilt went to our middle school principal who is retiring this year.
I used an upcoming pattern from Trace Creek Quilting. The pattern will launch spring of next year, I’ll be sure to post when it does.
I backed it with a red microfleece blanket and Lilo quilted it with the shields panto – leaning into the knight vibes – our middle school’s mascot. I used the extra squares to make a pillow too!
They both turned out great and I hope they bring some school spirit to their new owners.
