This month’s crafty update features the finished gnome blanket! Yay! It’s finally complete. A year’s worth of C2C crochet patterns from Repeat Crafter Me.
It was really exciting getting the new pattern each month and completing the gnome. I love how they are themed for the month. I think my favorite one is August (my birthday month) featuring the cute gnome girl in her bikini ready for the sun. My 2nd favorite is probably November – that turkey hat is just too cute! Of course, they are all actually super cute and it was a very fun project.
Here are all the months individually. Oops, I guess I didn’t get an individual pic of March, so here is a progress pic.
With the help of some final tutorials from Repeat Crafter Me, they all came together easily into a big cozy lap blanket.
The border is a row of almost every background color (I didn’t have enough yarn from September) to finish off the blanket and tie all of the gnomes together.
This was my first project with c2c (corner to corner) crochet patterns and by the 12th one I was definitely faster. Repeat Crafter Me has so many c2c patterns on her site, including more holiday gnomes that I would love to create. I will have to put those on my “Crafty to-do list”.
