This month’s crafty update is a few quilts I made just for me! Occasionally I get to keep something I make – Yay!
The first quilt is one I made specifically for our travel trailer. It’s a fun wonky pinwheel pattern made with the Firefly fabric line by Ruby Star Society. I backed it with a microfleece blanket and quilted it at Trace Creek Quilting with the abstract butterfly panto. It is cute and so so cozy!
The second quilt is one I just had to make when I stumbled onto some fabulous Charley Harper prints – OMG I just love his illustrations.
As I was online shopping and falling in love with all of the prints I found this fun Insta quilt pattern for FREE on the Birch Fabrics website. I used pixels black by Ruby Star Society for the background and a light gray for the “Polaroid pic” surroundings. I backed it with an organic Mammoth plaid flannel and quilted it at TCQ with a panto called Modernish 1. I am so in love!
The last one is something super special – since you know I make printable party decorations! I found another free pattern (from Moda) to make a birthday hat quilt wall hanging using the Birthday fabric line by Ruby Star Society. It just uses a charm pack and I used one of the pink prints for the backing. I got all of the fabric from Fat Quarter Shop. I quilted it at TCQ with a chevron stars panto with a pink thread and it turned out so awesome!! I added a few pom poms to a few of the party hats and now it’s proudly hanging in my office!
3 quilts just for me!! That was fun!
