My baby sister is having a baby!! Her baby boy just might be here next week!! So of course we had to shower her with love and presents! My middle sister and I threw the baby sister a fun family shower in the What are Little Boys Made of theme!
The shower was held at the baby mama’s house. They have a large house in the country complete with chickens and ducks roaming around their property! I designed all of the printable décor (they are available in the shop HERE) and decorated her sun room where we had the party!
The baby banner over the dessert and presents tables. Baby Melvin (his last name) doesn’t have a first name yet!
Here’s a closer view of the banner.
It was a fun theme to work with!
I had my friend who is awesome with fondant – make the cupcake toppers. Cute frogs, snails and puppy tails in the air! I made chocolate and vanilla cupcakes using a doctored box cake recipe. Everyone said they were yummy!
Here is a close up of the cute toppers!
I saw this idea on Pinterest and loved it! Have the guests write messages to the little one in a book. I can hardly believe it but I found a children’s book that went with the theme, “What Little Boys are Made Of” by Robert Neubecker and it’s adorable! It was so perfect for this shower!!
Next to the cupcake table, was the paper goods table and the favors.
I packaged up gummy frogs and blue Hershey kisses with thank you tags to give all the guests as they left. Cute and yummy!
We had a nice lunch spread, complete with the mama to be’s current craving – Jimmy John’s veggie sandwiches!
I used my new Banner Punchboard and my Silhouette SD to make this cute banner! Pretty easy and it added to the décor quite a bit!
I finally bought myself a drink dispenser and it looked lovely with this yummy blue punch in it!
Of course I had to wrap up some water bottles as well!
It was a gorgeous day so we had 2 tables outside and 2 tables inside the sun room. I added a little décor to the big side window as well.
The tables were simply dressed with a table cloth, cute mason jar vase with white tulips and a few frogs, snails and puppy dog cut outs around the vase.
It was a fun day celebrating my beautiful sister and her baby boy! We can’t wait to meet him!
