My baby turned 10 last week! I can’t believe he is in double digits already! He had a few of his buddies over for a late-over to celebrate with a Gamer birthday celebration! It was fun a lot of fun to decorate for this party.
The entryway welcomed his friends to the party. I used old controllers in the jar and paper cutout controllers cut with my Silhouette. The wreath is our birthday wreath that was made by a local crafter – I love it and it comes out for everyone’s birthday weeks.
The gamer birthday banner took its place in the sunroom so we could enjoy it all week. I did my normal setup with the plastic table cloth cut into pieces to create a backdrop and cover on the sofa table. Hung up the printable banner and accented with paper cut-out controllers, number balloons, and hanging swirls.
The favor tags were personalized for his buddies and dressed up the bags filled with candy, pencils, a gamer cup, a fun ball, and a controller-shaped notepad.
In the basement where most of the fun was set to happen – I transformed our built-ins into a gamer birthday display! The Level 10 unlocked balloons were a kit from PartyEight on Etsy. It was so easy to put together and really made an impact. I first put up a blue plastic table cloth to cover up the shelves behind and strung the balloons across.
On the left side, I set up the party snacks and used empty game boxes as decor. Vance loved it!
On the right side, more game boxes, the favor bags, and photo props. A welcome sign was on both sides (since Office Depot mistakenly printed more than one).
The other printables were on display with the snacks. Water bottle labels, food tents, and paper circles. To see more about the printable set check out this post here.
These 3 met in Kindergarten when we first moved to Missouri, and they are still the best of friends almost 4 years later. Of course being silly during pizza dinner.
We have a thing for homemade buttercream so I made my typical 3 layers cake – vanilla with chocolate chip cake and vanilla buttercream. I found the cutest game controller molds and used them to make the blue and red game controller chocolates, and then added a few button details with black fondant. I make the cake topper and V requested the number candles. Simple but cute and yummy.
I found his shirt on Amazon. It was just perfect, I couldn’t resist! He said he had a great day and really isn’t that all that matters! You can find the printables in my Etsy shop – if you have a gamer birthday celebration in your future!
