The Elf Family Advent was so much fun so it’s hard to pick a favorite day. To see all of our Elf on the Shelf family advent fun check out the post here.
But if I had to pick my favorite – I think it has to be our Holiday Science night.
I did some research on holiday science projects and found a few to try. First up was exploding ornaments!
We followed the instructions in this blog post from Little Bins for Little Hands. It was relatively simple but made a big impact! The glitter made the explosions so fascinating to watch. I highly recommend doing these experiments in a contained space. I got the holiday trays at the dollar store – they worked perfectly!
The other project we did was to grow crystals, making crystal candy cane ornaments. It took time to see the results but they were pretty darn cool! We used the instructions from this blog post from Go Science Kids. A few simple ingredients and we got spectacular results!
The whole family had tons of fun with Holiday Science night – thanks Elfie!
