A knit fabric group called Fabric Stache on Facebook offered up a sweet deal on some adorable fabric a few weeks ago, and I had to jump on it! It was perfect for Valentine’s outfits for my kiddos! Um, hello! My daughter’s name is Olive! Olive You! Olives! Ha – so perfect!!
I knew I was going to make O a dress and had recently seen and purchased the Nancy Dress pattern from Mo’s Boutique on Etsy. I love the ruffled layers of this cozy knit dress. It was a challenge but a learning experience too, because I got to play with my serger and practice a rolled hem. I even switched out the thread color too! Yay me!
Since my girl is tall and thin, I made her the 7/8 size which looks a little big on her, but that just means it will last a year or so right!
It has a fun twirly-ness to it too!
And that awesome print! So adorable!!
I had enough fabric to make little brother a matching shirt. I used the Classic Ringer Tee pattern from Peek-a-Boo Pattern shop (Love her patterns!).
With a bribe of a Valentine sucker the kiddos let me take a few photos in front of the house. We got lucky, no rain and warm enough to not have a jacket on for a few minutes!
Love these two monkeys so much!!
Happy Valentine’s Day from our house to yours! Hope you have a fun, love filled weekend!
