Wow! I can hardly believe it! 10 years of being a Mom, 10 years of fun birthday parties, 10 years of our beautiful and awesome Olive!
To celebrate double digits, we had a sleepover with a few of her good girlfriends. And thank goodness for basements because these girls didn’t get to sleep until 3am! But enough about that, onto the fun details.
Miss O loves anything animal, cute and collectible – so this year’s theme was Pikmi Pops. If you don’t know what they are – they are cute little animal stuffed toys hidden inside plastic lollipop style containers and the all have a sweet smell. I have to admit the little animals are adorable! Her invitation asks friends to come over for a sleepover (or lateover if they don’t want to or can’t stay the night).
Upstairs the dining area was dressed up with balloon banners that I made. They were really easier than I thought – I will have to do a post about it! They made such an impact!
The adorable cake – from GiGi B’s Sweet Temptations was centered under a balloon banner and the printable banner.
Along with lollipop cake pops made by Sugar Dough Cookie Creations.
For dinner we did a Taco Bar with all the fixins!
Water bottles were appropriately dressed and the snacks were labeled and decorated with party circles!
Down in the basement was were all the fun was going to happen!
Our built-ins were decorated with a poster, banners, signs and balloons. Favor baskets on one side and Popcorn bar on the other!
The favor baskets were filled with fun goodies – including a Pikmi Pop!
I found this awesome room decor roll (on clearance at a going out of business Party City) and just about covered the entire side of the basement. Covered the bottom with gold fringe table skirts, add hanging paper disco balls and a real disco ball light and instant dance corner!
Since sleepovers mean a lot of time to fill. I planned a few activities for the girls to do when they had time. First was a paint your initial craft.
They could also decorate their own sleep mask!
And while they actually never got to this activity – we did have Nail polish roulette game – where they could spin to choose a color and paint their toes/nails different colors.
I also set up a photo booth with props. Since Olive got an instax camera for her birthday I thought this would be a fun place to take pictures!
The girls crafted, karaoked, danced and had fun all night long (like I said earlier they were not all asleep until 3am). Thus this Mom didn’t get much sleep either and thus no pictures of the morning waffle bar! Oh well! My Mom heart was happy because my kid had a great time and my Party Planner heart was happy because everything looked so darn cute! Thanks for letting me share!
