My son turned 11 last week and he invited a bunch of his friends to hang out, eat snacks and cake and of course play video games!
His current favorite game character is Kirby so he wanted a Kirby birthday party. He loves the cute pink character but didn’t really want a ton of pink in the décor – so thankfully Mom can make him pretty much whatever he wants!
The invite has a few Kirby power-ups on it inviting his friends to join the gaming fun.
The banner is mostly blue (Vance’s fav color) and features Kirby and his stars.
I did a Kirby birthday party wall in our sun room and added a balloon banner with Kirby balloons – just Kirby faces taped onto the balloons.
The party was held outside on our deck – we lucked out with the weather and it was a nice day. I did another birthday wall outside and used my tablecloth trick.
We served snacks and drinks that the boys could grab while they played.
They had some Smash Brothers battles on the Nintendo Switch
And played tag and bounced on the trampoline in the yard.
Then it was time for cake – I asked my cake lady, Gigi B’s Sweet Temptations in the St. Louis area, to create a Kirby cake – it turned out pretty cute.
Vance did the honors of cutting into the cake – looks kind of mean to be cutting in the cute Kirby but it was worth it – the cake was so tasty!
V had a great day and the boys seemed to enjoy themselves! Happy 11th Birthday Vance!
