Hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend! The kids and I went to my parent’s house for a few days, it was nice to hang out with family! The kids finally got to wear their cute Easter outfits I made!
I have had plans to make this dress for O – the Cosette Maxi Dress by Violette Field Threads – since last year! I finally got it sewn up in plenty of time for Easter. Its a tad long and a little bit loose on top – so it should last through the summer and more maybe!
So many pretty ruffles and I just love the pastel chevrons!
The little ruffles on the straps in the back are just so adorable! This dress took quite a bit of fabric and time but it really is adorable on her. She had to remember to pick up the dress a little to walk around without stepping on it.
I used Peekaboo Pattern Shop’s Classic Oxford Button up shirt pattern for V’s Easter shirt. I found the cutest bunny print at one of my local fabric/craft stores.
Yep, he’s pretty adorable! And so is the shirt.
The style is classic and the pattern was really pretty easy to sew up! I definitely need to make him a few more!
We had a little photo shoot in Nana and Papa’s front yard on Easter day, after we got home from church with my sister and her family. It was a tad cold for a dress with no sleeves, but O was a trooper and enjoyed running around and picking flowers. She was shocked and elated that Nana & Papa actually let her pick flowers in their yard.
Lately O has been giving me a lot of these shots. She doesn’t miss an opportunity to be silly! We didn’t have a traditional Easter dinner planned (Nana working tax season kind of messes with the Easter holiday) but we put together an interesting Easter smorgasbord and had a great time!
