Kitty Quilt in progress

Since my kids were really little I have been wanting to make them each a quilt – even buying fabric for them – but of course I never got to it and now they are totally over the original fabrics (flowers for her, cars for him). So I started from scratch, this time getting input from the kids.

O and I decided on this fun pattern The Kittens by Elizabeth Hartman! We picked fabrics in her current favorite colors – purple and teal, with a little light pink.

When I first started planning it it felt like it was going to be way to hard and overwhelming – but in reality it was super fun to make! The pattern has 5 kitten designs but my daughter only liked 4 of them – so please meet:

Simon

Mr. Snuggles

Daisy

and Bacon Bits!

They came together quicker that I thought they would and they are just so cute!

Check back for the final reveal of the finished quilt! I just sent it off to my Aunt to do some fancy quilting work with her long arm! So excited to see it myself!

Thanks for letting me show off my creation!!
