My son has a small obsession with pufferfish! Thanks to the Nintendo switch game Animal Crossing! So for his birthday I decided to make him his very own Pufferfish crochet stuffie!
I found this awesome pattern for a Pufferfish crochet stuffie by Vanessa Mooncie for FREE on Ravelry! It is written in British crochet terms so I just copied and pasted the pattern into a word doc and switched all of the dc for sc! In British crochet terms a double crochet is the same as a single crochet in American crochet terms! Why? No idea! But the little find and replace trick worked brilliantly!
The pattern worked up fairly quickly and the little knobs were very easy to create and make such an impact – as well as the very round shape of course!
I put this guy in his bedroom with pufferfish balloons the night before his birthday so he woke up to a fun pufferfish birthday surprise!!
Originally he wanted a pufferfish themed birthday but then switched his theme to Zelda! Check out his birthday celebration and parade on the blog soon!
