Vance’s turn! Time for another birthday parade and celebration! He bounced around with his theme choice and finally landed on Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild! I created this fun invite and sent it via email to friends inviting them to the parade!
He woke up to fun balloons in his bed and a new pufferfish friend made by Mom!
Since his birthday was on a Friday this year, he still had to do school (virtually at home) – but we made sure and made him a special breakfast (cinnamon rolls) and a special lunch (McDonald’s nuggets). He did get to see his birthday sign in the morning before class started! Thanks to Show Me Yard Cards for an amazing display!
I love that she asks customers for input on colors and what graphics the kiddos would like for the signs. Nailed it with the blue letters, gamer, fish and dog graphics!
Even though we weren’t having people in the house, I still love to decorate the entry for the occasion. I borrowed V’s master sword and shield and created a birthday sign for the entry way!
I like to decorate an area in the kitchen dining area so the Zelda BOTW banner went up over a gold plastic table cloth as the back drop.
We put another printable banner with just the good guys and bad guys over the fire place in the front room.
For favors to give to his friends in the parade, we had Sugar Dough Cookie Creations (my go to cookie lady) make Korok cookies! And WOW! she did an amazing job! I added a personalized printable favor tag to each individually wrapped cookies.
The birthday parade was after school and V loved seeing some of his friends in real life and not just on a screen!
It was a beautiful evening too for a family selfie!
We ended the night with cake and presents just the 4 of us. I made a cookie dough cake from Cake Confidence by Mandy Merriman. (Amazon affiliate link) It was yummy! I think our guy had a good day!
