This month I took my creations to a craft show! My first one ever! I was excited and nervous and hunkered down in front of the sewing machine to make sure I had enough inventory! I took blankets, loveys, animals and a lot of little girl purses. I think my booth was pretty cute!
Well as for sales, the show went okay – but I did learn quite a lot, and I do think it was a valuable experience. After meeting and working with another crafter all day on Saturday I actually signed up for one more craft show this year. So back to the sewing machine I go to replenish my lovey stock – which were the most popular item at the show!
And speaking of loveys – I really haven’t talked on the blog about my new loveys!! These guys are the cutest!
Backstory: My kids both have loveys – I was given a lamb Angel Dear lovey for a baby shower gift with my daughter, and since her baby room theme was monkeys (you can see pics and read more about that HERE) – I found a few more loveys with cute pink monkey heads. For my son, I picked up 4 or 5 of the brown puppy Angel Dear blankets. My kids pretty much can’t sleep without their loveys!!
I had been making the ribbon critters and people have been cooing over them – so I thought why couldn’t I just attach a small blanket to the ribbon critter and make it a lovey! Thus, Ribbon Critter Loveys were born! They have a critter head with a few ribbons/tags that the little ones love but it also has a double sided minky blanket attached to cuddle up with! They pair great with my full size baby blankets or are a great gift by themselves too!
Here are some more lovey pics – as well as my spokesbaby loving on her personal lovey too!!
If you are in the Seattle/Snohomish Area – come check out my next craft show on Dec 6th 10am – 7pm and Dec 7th 10am – 4pm — Christmas Marketplace at Hope Foursquare Church 5002 Bickford Ave Snohomish, WA 98290. And bring home a lovey for your little one!
