About 2 months after we moved to the St. Louis suburbs, we found our puppy Chip, at the local Humane Society. After doing the math, we estimated that his birthday was around March 15th – which coincidentally was the day we moved to St. Louis! Wow! Kismet!
We recently had a fun little party to celebrate his 1st Birthday!
We invited a few friends and neighbors over for a bbq with this cute invite!
I used my Puppy Birthday Party set as a base, replacing the cute little brown puppy with a lab illustration that looks more like our pup. Love how much this clip art designed by Giftseasonstore looks so much like our Chip!
I created a banner for the backdrop and displayed pictures of Chip from the past year.
EASY DÉCOR TRICK: Print out pictures of the Birthday Boy/Girl/Pup and clip them to a string or tape them up around the party room. Easy and such cute decorations!
I love to dress up our entry way to I did a quick décor using the trick above.
I ordered the cutest cookies for the people from my amazing cookie lady – Sugar Dough Cookie Creations
– and treats for the canines from Emmi Lu’s Barkery. Including an amazing puppy cake all for Chip.
It turned out to be a gorgeous day – the kids had fun on the trampoline and the pup loved all the attention.
And Chip even had a friend come over as well.
And of course Chip loved his cake!
So much fun! Any excuse to throw a party – it doesn’t have to always be extravagant! Small, simple and fun works too.
Happy Birthday Chip! Love that you are part of our family!
