Party Favor Ideas for Preschoolers!

May 12, 2022

Time for preschool party favor ideas!  If you missed last month’s party favor ideas, Click here to get ideas for the youngest guest – babies to 2 years old.

As a reminder these are the 4 guidelines I follow when choosing party favors:

  1. Economical (no need to blow the whole budget on the favors)
  2. Coordinates with the party theme (of course!)
  3. Useful (can be used for a while or at least a few days after the party)
  4. Fun for the kiddo!

This age is so much fun and there are a lot of options depending on what theme your party is.  Keeping in mind the 4 criteria above you also need to remember these kiddos will be more capable than babies but we still want to make sure everything is safe (non-toxic) and kid-appropriate.

Here are some great preschool party favor ideas – ages 3 to 5 years old!

Playdough (store-bought or homemade)

Preschool kids love Play-doh! The multi-packs like this one found at Target are great. With 30 cans of play-doh, it makes it only .56 cents each! Pair it with a small cookie cutter or a treat and that’s an awesome party favor. Or if you like the idea of homemade – just google a recipe and put portions in Ziploc bags with a cute bag topper.

Bubbles

Bubbles are always fun! You can get them in multi-packs to save money. Go for the regular bottles or the bubble wands – you can’t go wrong with either.

Stuffed animal or small toy

A small stuffed animal or toy is a fun way to coordinate with your theme. For example, a lot of kids are really into cars during these ages and Hot Wheels can’t be beaten for favors! At $1 each – what a bargain and so much fun!

For V’s monster truck birthday, I was able to find the larger monster trucks on sale – so each kiddo got one to take home.

For a princess theme, you could find small princess dolls, for a puppy theme a small dog stuffed animal.

Coloring book/crayons

These coloring play packs are perfect for party favors! They generally come in a lot of different characters and include crayons – easy peasy! Another bargain at $1.00 each!

You could also get more traditional coloring books (maybe from the dollar store) and a larger pack of crayons especially if you have a group of 5 years olds.

Ball

A ball would be a great party favor! These days they come in all colors and textures. You may even be able to find a themed one to match your party theme. And of course, for a sports-themed party – a ball is perfect.

I hope these ideas help you in your planning for preschool party favors. Check back next month for party favor ideas for school-age kids!
