The final projects are getting wrapped up for Miss O’s big 5th Birthday Princess Ball! I really love creating the favors to hand out to the little ones at the party! I am sure it is lost on the kids but I like the whole favor to be usable – thus the reason why I love making or finding cute reusable bags to stuff the goodies in!
For the Princess party – I just had to make some cute princess bags for the girls. And I can’t forget the boys – they will get a cool knight bag – complete with shield and sword applique!
For the girls’ bags – I used my little lady purse pattern but swapped the fabric ruffle for fun tulle – kind of a tutu around the bag! Miss O picked out the pink and purple castle (and unicorn) fabric. I think they turned out great!
The girls will get this cute bag filled with princess goodies – including a princess notebook, pencil, bubbles, candy necklace kit and of course each will go home with a princess wand. You can even use my tutorial to make your own princess wand!
For the boys – I modified the little lady purse by squaring up the bag and boxing the bottom corners to give it more room. I printed out the shield and sword applique onto printable cotton, cut it out, ironed it on and zigzagged around it to secure it to the bags.
I think they turned out awesome!
There is so much room in this bag! The boys are getting a Mike the Knight toy, bubbles, ring pop and a cool foam sword. This party is going to be fun!! Just a few short weeks and I can share how it all comes together!
