I already shared the eats from Mr. V’s Monster Truck party – if you missed it go HERE. But now its time for the fun and the cake!

Here is the cake table!  I designed a HB banner and name banner in the same Monster truck theme as the invite and rest of the printables (planning on offering them in my Etsy shop soon!).

Next to the cake are the favor bags I made for the kiddos.  You can see more about those HERE.

If you are going to throw a Monster Truck birthday party you have to have a Monster Truck cake!  After looking at way too many variations on pinterest, I decided to keep it relatively simple and sort of follow the lead of the invite that I designed.  A muddy adventure for a few monster trucks!  I used a sheet cake pan and the doll cake pan that I used for Miss O’s princess cake, to make a muddy mountain!  Lots of chocolate frosting and crumbled up brownies to look like rocks and dirt.  I made the traffic cones with orange candy melts and made washi tape flags and printed out a finish line banner.  The birthday boy loved it – especially the new monster truck on top of the cake!

The kids had a nice long table covered with coloring pages and monster truck tattoos.

Mr. V did a little coloring, but Miss O colored an awesome monster truck for her brother.

We also played Pin the Tire on the Monster Truck!

I am loving this game this year — I designed the poster and then printed it at Costco at 16×20″ for only $8.99 – not too bad!  The kids liked it.  Mr V. could actually see but he still didn’t get that he was supposed to put the tire where the missing tire was – oh well!

But I think the biggest hit of the party were the Monster Truck Races!

I made 3 cardboard Monster Trucks for the kids to have races with!  They are large boxes turned into cars the kids can wear!

I don’t even remember how many heats we had. They really had a lot of fun running around with the trucks. And everyone did a great job taking turns!

Here is Mr. V in his favorite car – the Blue one we named Flame! I didn’t get complete pictures of the monster truck because they were just moving too fast!  So much fun!  Happy 3rd Birthday Mr. V – you are one awesome dude!
