I think one of the hardest parts about kid’s party planning is trying to figure out how to entertain the kiddos! So time for some more Outdoor Party Games! If you missed my first 2 installments – check them out HERE and HERE!
Laser tag
They have some affordable laser tags sets these days and with the cool chest plates, you can play pretty much anywhere! It could be a birthday gift that they can use as at the party and many parties in the future!
Rock painting
Painting rocks would be an easy and fun activity to do outside at a party! You can find rocks or purchase them from a home improvement store, use acrylic paint and have fun! Here are a ton of ideas on what and how to paint rocks! The kids can take them home as a keepsake or hide them around the neighborhood for someone else to find!
Sidewalk chalk
Have the kids create masterpieces on the driveway or sidewalk – have the kids all vote for their favorite, or let the birthday child choose. The winner could get an extra cupcake or something little. Make it fun without too much pressure.
Water balloons (reusable or traditional)
Water balloons are always fun on a hot day! You can go with traditional water balloons – or be more environmentally friendly with reusable water balloons! I got reusable crocheted water balloons from my local crafting site but I know you can find them on Etsy! Or if you know how to crochet, you can make your own using this pattern.
Archery
We got kid’s bow and arrows for O & V for Christmas last year and they got to play with them this spring. This could be a fun activity for a party if you have plenty of adult supervision. We used boxes as the targets. There are options for bow and arrow sets – the real deal (kid versions), foam and suction style!
Minute to win it style games
There are so many fun ideas in this category! Remember that game show – Minute to Win it! Minute long challenge games with fun names like – Junk in the trunk, Spin doctor and Noodling around! Here is an article from Red Tricycle with so many ideas for these quick style games.
