I recently joined a neighborhood bunco group with a friend and despite not knowing how to play – it has been a BLAST! And seriously so easy to learn. We play a few games and then end up chatting late into the night – a nice night out for a busy bunch of moms! January was the month I hosted at my house! I decided to serve cheese and chocolate fondue with all the fun dippers – and since I love decorating for a theme – I created some printable décor that I wanted to share with you!
I found this dice fabric on clearance at a local fabric store and knew it would make perfect table runners/décor for the party. These reversible table runners are so quick to sew up and really add a fun theme to a room. I will have a tutorial coming soon on how to make them. Oh and here is he yummy dippers for the chocolate fondue!
As part of the printables, I made food tents so people knew which fondue was chocolate and which fondue was cheese. You don’t want to mix those two up! I don’t think angel food cake tastes quite as good dipped in cheese vs. chocolate! hehe
I only had enough dice fabric to make 2 runners, so I used a piece of orange fabric from my stash to decorate the cheese fondue table. I just happened to have pink and orange paper plates in my stash (from past birthday parties) and we found those fun orange animal print napkins at IKEA. They kind of set the colors for the décor!
Here is the other runner I made – displaying the drinks of course! This one is actually a long one that can go across a larger table, but since we were using the table for play, I folded this runner in half and used it on the smaller bar.
In bunco, you have 3 tables of play. I made table numbers so everyone knew which order to go in. I found the 3D dice online – printed them and folded them into the shape. I weighted them with some beads and used them to hold up the table numbers (with the help of a chop stick). Table One’s sign wanted to lean over, but tables 2 and 3 looked good.
I grabbed a few scraps of fabric in pink and orange to put under the table numbers for a pop of color.
The table numbers were moved when we started playing but they looked cute at the beginning!
To finish off the simple décor, I made a BUNCO banner for my mantle and added a few more of the 3D paper dice to my normal mantle décor. Easy and cute! All in all very simple décor, but I think it added to fun of the night!
