I recently completed a fun sports themed nursery for my sister’s friend. They have a baby boy due in February and are HUGE, I mean HUGE Oregon Ducks fans (now sad Duck fans). They wanted a sports themed nursery with an Oregon vibe. The client found a set of awesome sports canvases from THIS shop on Etsy. I used those 8″ x 8″ canvases as a starting point and designed this full of Oregon spirit sports nursery!
Lets go corner and by corner of the room and look at some details.
Here is the nursing/reading corner. Cozy chair, lamp and table. The sports canvases are highlighted on a single green stripe that runs all the way around the room. The walls are a light gray.
To make the chair extra cozy, I made a regular pillow and a football shaped pillow. I made the stuffed ducky just for fun!
Here is the entry corner.
The changing table wall is dressed up with a super cute baseball mirror that the client found at Hobby Lobby. I made a custom changing pad cover to match the décor (and a spare in yellow too).
The line continues around the room to the closet corner and leads around to the…
the crib! And the main feature of the room!
A big Oregon O – with the new baby’s name inside!
The crib is skirted with a green ombre striped fabric. We pulled the green and yellow paint colors from the darkest and lightest colors in the fabric.
You can see the fabric a little better in the crib sheet
And even better in the curtains!
I made the cutest sports mobile to hang over the crib! So happy how is turned out!
As a shower gift I made the little one a ducky lovey and a cuddly blanket – they are just hanging out waiting for baby Declan to arrive!!
I hope he loves his room as much as I do! Go Ducks!
